2014 Study Trip announced

The 2014 SEMF Study Trip will be to Lisbon, Portugal and will take place on 22- 24 January.

The trip has been organised by SEMF member Lyn Gash and will include visits to the Museu de Cidade, the Gulbenkian Museum, the Archaeology Museum, Maritime Museum, Jeronimos monastery and the National Museum of Ancient Art amongst others.

Who can attend?

The trip is open to all current SEMF members. Membership costs £10 for the year and includes 3 study visits in the region. For information on joining please see our membership page.

How much does it cost?

Members need to book their own flight and accommodation but there is no additional fee for the trip.

SEMF members make their own booking arrangements for hotel and flights after receiving confirmation along with relevant website links and further details. The SEMF representative will not deal with any financial transactions.

Bursary

The SEMF has a bursary fund to assist young members and those at the start of their career to with the cost of flights and accommodation. Further details on the bursary please contact the SEMF administrator

How much are flights and accommodation?

SEMF has arranged a group discount at the Hotel Mundial. Rates are as follows

Sgl..B.B.- 62.80 euros;
Twin B.B. — 67,00 euros;
Twin with extra bed B.B. — 95.80 euros;
Luggage Service — €2,00 per person (In/Out);

These Rates are Net Per Room, Per Day including American Buffet Breakfast and Taxes. The rates are only available if you book your place on the trip before 29 November 2013.

Flights are from Gatwick mostly and our most recent quote is £63 + p person return incl tax

How do I book my place?

Booking for the trip is on a first come first served basis with a maximum number of 25.  Confirmation of your place on the trip will be within 5 working days — with the deadline being 15 December overall.

However if you want to take advantage of the hotel prices above you will need to confirm by 29 November
