SEMFed holds 4 Study Days per year, as well as an Annual European Study Trip.

All SEMFed events offer a friendly and relaxed opportunity to meet other museum people and to learn about their experiences and plans as well as seeing behind the scenes in a wide range of museums.

Study Days are held in museums in our area and they are open to all members.
They are priced to cover the minimal costs of the day and are usually £10 or under.
These events are for members only, but it is easy to add the cost of membership (£10) onto your booking if you are not already a member.

These are run over a long weekend in late January each year. We visit a European city, meet staff in museums there, and find out more about how they run their museums.
The trip is advertised to members in the Summer and bookings are taken up til the late Autumn.
Partners are welcome to join us on the trip.
Cost is kept reasonably low, with the key costs being travel and accommodation.
Visits in recent years have been to Rome, Brussels, Berlin and Lisbon.
